About Us
Despite occasional urges to send them all to the workhouse we think most parents agree with us that their children still deserve their own special space: a space where they can play, study, plot, dream!
The aim of our business remains the same as it ever was: to make that space a reality with well designed, well made furniture and accessories that will look good and do their job without fuss for years to come.
Aspace History
- Founded in 2002 - We noticed that it was impossible to find well designed and well priced beds and furniture for children. The choice seemed to be between cheap and basic from a high street "shed" or ludicrously expensive from an "heirloom designer".
- Launched our own bedding ranges in March 2004 - We felt that parents needed an antidote to novelty character and nasty quality.
- Launched our first website in October 2004 - We now process more than 40% of all orders online
- Opened our first retail store in March 2006 - It's been a huge success but our Bristol store opened in May this year and is now hot on Chiswick's heels. More stores are planned so watch this space
- We send out more than 400 consignments of furniture every week - from our new 25,000 square foot warehouse in Wiltshire
- We now employ more than 50 staff - All hard working, many inclined to be a bit boisterous

- More than twenty years industrial & product design experience in cots, nursery furniture, children’s beds and bunks and children’s furniture.
- Extensive involvement in the development of safety standards for nursery/children’s furniture (e.g. BSEN716)
- Consultant for strategic proposals for the Wood Industry in Slovenia and Hungary and their consideration under EU run “PHARE” project aimed at assisting economic reconstruction in Eastern Europe.
- Responsible for blueprint, build and implementation of dedicated factories in Slovenia, Serbia, Malaysia, South Africa and Zimbabwe
- Design, implementation and training of formal Production/Quality Control systems and Quality Assurance systems
